ReplyDeleteMark,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to drop you a line to say congratulations on your brilliant historical PHAMALy documentary! It was truly inspirational and I learned so much that I really did not know. It was fun to see the first Boettcher choir I remember exchanging concerts with Jeannie Sonnleitner! Brought back memories of a much younger me!
I guess the most revealing moment for me was when you were speaking afterward and you said that this was a group with exceptional abilities and anyone who has a chance to perform with PHAMALy improves their craft just by being in the presence of such talent. And boy is that true of me! It had been such a long time for me since I had stepped on a stage. But thanks to you and Steve I was given that opportunity again! I am not even sure I deserved to be on the stage with such exceptional abilities!
I do hope I get the chance to work with you and PHAMALy again in the future. Thank you so much for being brave enough to take on such a huge documentary heartfelt project as this film and for taking the chance when you first agreed to direct PHAMALy. There simply aren't enough words!
Thank you!
Jodi

ReplyDeleteI brought my kids with me to the film, mostly because I love any opportunity to show them diversity in the world. All three of us left feeling very inspired and can't wait to see a PHAMALY production. The stories were very touching and personal. My kids talked the entire way home about the importance of PHAMALY to the community and how powerful the message of the film was to them. Thanks Mark. You are a very talented messenger. The film was wonderful!
